SILEM : a new gaseous detector with integrated x − y readout plane
نویسنده
چکیده
This works reports on gaseous detectors developments made in the frame of the EXO double-beta decay experiment. LEM (Large Electron Multiplication) are electron amplification grids based on GEM. They were developed in Neuchâtel (1) and showed remarquable resistance to sparks. The new SILEM grid combines the properties of the standard LEM with a micropatterned x − y readout plane on one of the grid side. It allows thus the amplification of the primary electrons and their position in the x− y plane.

InGrid-based X-ray detector for low background searches
An X-ray photon detector based on the highly granular readout of an InGrid is described. This gaseous detector, based on a highly pixelized readout chip with an integrated Micromegas grid, allows for a topological analysis of each event and, thus, a distinction between a charged track and a photon conversion is possible in most cases. Because of the high granularity, an energy resolution of 5.2...
متن کاملCaliste-MM: a spectro-polarimeter based on the micromegas concept for soft X-ray astrophysics
Performing X-ray polarimetry of astrophysical sources is a topic of growing interest, with only a few flying experiments dedicated to it so far. For soft X-rays sources detection from 1 keV to a few tens of keV, the best technique certainly consists in using the photoelectric effect, which is the dominant phenomenon at those energies in gaseous detectors. One of the main issues is the gaseous d...

Silicon-based hybrid CMOS visible focal plane array (FPA) technology is emerging as a strong contender for scientific applications that require broad spectral response with low noise, highly integrated functionality and radiation hardness. CMOS-based FPAs offer many advantages in high speed, low-noise detection and signal processing. As a high performance alternative to advanced CCD imaging arr...
متن کاملDevelopment of MicroStrip Gaseous Chamber for Realtime X-ray Imaging Detector
The MicroStrip Gaseous Chamber (MSGC) was proposed in 1988 [1] as a new type of proportional gaseous detector providing an excellent position resolution. A very fine pitch (<200μm) of signal lines, which could be realized by printing several hundred of strips on a substrate using the Multi-Chip Module technology [2, 3],makes possible to satisfy almost all requirements for X-ray position detecto...
متن کاملطراحی، شبیهسازی و ساخت یک نمونه اتاقک گازی پرتو ایکس حساس به موقعیت
In this paper a one dimentional position-sensitive X-ray gas detector has been designed, simulated and constructed based on Multi Wire Proportional Chamber (MWPC) with delay line position readout. These kinds of detectors are useful in soft X-ray imaging and are capable of being extended to two dimensions position readout easily. The position resolution of this detector is estimated to be 230µm...
